I was checking out HomeDepot.com to see what sale I could pair their new $10 off a purchase of $100 or more when I came across one of their DIY projects: Laminate Your Wall. Is it just me, or does this remind you of the faux wood paneling that most of us had in our houses in the 70′s?
If only we had known this would make a comeback, it would have saved us all the work we did when we ripped it out of what is now our dining room! The scariest part is I kind of like this idea. Why is that? Maybe the fake wood going horizontally makes it less tacky? What do you think still tacky, or hip and new?
Speaking of the $10 off coupon, just enter code: THDLBTEN at checkout online only at HomeDepot.com. Remember you can save on shipping by ordering online with the coupon and selecting pick-up in store, and if you use it to make your own Faux Wood Wall, I want pictures!

I like this idea. The wood paneling I’ve seen lately does not look like the fake 70′d stuff, and it’s being used more judicially than when it was nailed to every wall. So, I don’t know if it’s making a comeback, but, used well, I could like wood paneling.
