I was on the phone with my cousin last week talking about the new site. She told me she loved the site, but she never uses printable coupons because the first time she went to print a coupon there were all these downloads and it took too long to get her coupons. This conversation made me realize that there may be some of you who need more information about how printing coupons works. If you’ve had a first experience like my cousin’s and haven’t been back since, this is for you!
How to Print Coupons: Every month Coupons.com and RedPlum.com release new coupons for you to print. Missing out on these coupons is like missing out on free money! To print these coupons, just go to Coupons.com or RedPlum and select the coupons you want. (Think of items you buy already and items that may be on sale at your local stores.)

Next, click the print button on the site. This will send the coupons to your printer.

Most coupons can be printed twice . It is best to have two coupons for a Buy One, Get One sale so be sure to go back to the site to select and print the coupons again to get a second set of coupons. Keep in mind some of these coupons go fast so if you see a coupon you want to print, then print it now as it may be gone tomorrow.
If this is your first time printing, keep reading…
The First Time You Print: The first time you print a coupon on a new site like Red Plum or Coupons.com you will likely be prompted to complete some downloads. Don’t worry there are no viruses or malware with Coupons.com or Red Plum’s downloads. They are 100% clean and they just enable your printer to print coupons that can be scanned at your local grocery store. These downloads DO NOT have to be done every time you print coupons. There are occasional updates to download, but they are very infrequent.
Happy Printing!

Just curious if you have any tips on reducing the cost of printing coupons….seems like I go through a bunch of ink cartridges and they can be quite expensive. I have gotten to the point that I only print coupons valued at $1.00 or greater and bogo coupons.
Thanks
Debra – I finally broke down and bought a LaserJet. We bought it used from a company that was going under. They are pricy, but I have been using the same cartridges for a year and they came with the printer, so the office was already using the cartridges when I got it! It also prints much faster than my ink jet did.
When I had an ink jet, I tried to always refill my cartridges. I’ve gotten very good deals at Walgreens and many of the office supply stores refill them too.
I am just starting out with the whole couponing thing and I get frustrated at the websites listed above when there are very few products listed. I have seen where they say use this zip code to get this coupon and clicked on links that go to coupons.com only i cannot find the coupon i am directed there to find. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately coupons have print limits and once they reach that limit they disappear.
My suggestion is to regularly check the coupon sites and print the coupons you think you will need before they will disappear. Also if you see a HOT coupon mentioned in it’s own post like this one:
http://theprudentpatron.com/2011/06/walmart-free-wilkinson-razors.html
Print that coupon immediately because it is a coupon that I think will not last.
One Last tip regarding Red Plum. They tend to reset on Sunday mornings, so that is a good time to check that site.
I just wanted to say Thank You for explaining so we can understand. And may we always please God first and then ourselves after we have gave our very best from our heart and soul to Him, then all things will be done in Honesty and Truth. Because we all know that His thoughts and ways are higer than ours. May we and especially I always walk and act with the humbleness of love.
